"The property was built by my father in 1961 as his family home. It has always remained in the family.

As a child I loved the large garden which enable me to have countless pets and lots of space to play in with my friends. My mother loved it because she used to be a keen gardener.

The house was built with large windows and relatively high ceilings with the intention of letting the maximum amount of light in. The entrance hall and main bedrooms have always felt spacious to me and I will miss that sense of space very much.

The house is near to the river, with all the access to fishing and tadpoles and other wildlife that I loved as child. There is now a wooded conservation area running alongside part of the river with masses of bluebells in the spring- and a great place to walk the dog.

There is a wonderful Norman Church I attended over many years and where my sister and I were married within a few yards (which has great child friendly services). I attended the junior school close by, played in the park that is almost opposite to the house (adjacent to the vicarage) which has a large white building that hosts ballet classes and other training events for children and adults and a has summer fete each year. It also contains a paddling pool and play area.

There is also has a very impressive library in the centre next to the village green and almost opposite the junior school. Today there is a large Tesco on the corner of Millhams Road, which is also within walking distance of the house and close to the library and school.

I loved the house and the surrounding area, and I have many happy memories of living there. We have always been blessed by having very good neighbours. The house is only being sold because my mother died and the estate has to be distributed."
